  The owner/service staff was very pleasant, they cleaned the room each day and although the place is older, all is in pretty good shape.

  My stay was great. The office store had cheaper prices than Wal-Mart! Next time I'm in Sarnia I will be staying at the Chipican!

  Cheap price. Internet wireless access. Close to Michigan state border. Perfect for people who drive a lot and need a cheap place to do a power nap.

  Polite check in and great location. Great food next door.

  The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was not good at all. The paint was all peeled and the bath, well don;t take a bath thats for sure. Bathroom definately needs some renovations. Old and grubby.

  It is very conveniently located for anyone with a bit of time to enjoy a walk (or at least a drive) through the splendid Canatara Park, and/or a short trip to Point Edward, Ontario and the place where Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River. For someone just needing a safe and comfortable place to lay their head, it is very good value for money.

  That place was disgusting-wow! Almost left and went somewhere else even though I already paid!! Gross gross GROSS-room 23! Thank god it was only 50$

  No clean sheets for 15 night stay, air con taped in, no plugs in sink or bath, no fire extinguisher, room filthy, bed comfortable but bedding dirty. Pillows brown stained and should have been thrown out. No lock on door, Receipt different from amount paid, not able to speak to anyone regarding this, office always locked. Microwave and fridge dirty. Bath had been painted and not replaced.

  This is an old motel and well maintaned. But my unit (20) is in need of major rebuuding of the bathroom.

  The building is very old and not very attractive. The a/c did not cool the room. The decor was very 1970's. The old mini fridge would not work well enough to make ice. The wifi was very slow.

  It was a quiet and peaceful area, and the her folks staying there were quiet and reserved. The little restaurant attached was pretty retro, but served delicious meals.

  Just a little too outdated, and in some disrepair.

  What I liked was the location.

  The hotel was not clean. It is run down. The hotel caters to clients who have no respect for the other clients who which peace and quiet. There was so much carrying on at all hours of the night that it was impossible to sleep. This is a very poor managed hotel.

  Appears they have made an effort to improve -- had a fridge & microwave, fairly new bathroom fixtures. Appreciated the availability of WiFi.

  Beds were both terrible -- low, lumpy, uncomfortable! Air conditioner being taped into the wall allowed for quite an unpleasant breeze. Flooring (old carpet) appeared filthy. Door lock chain had no end to slide into the latch, door closed poorly. It is in an area of noisy traffic. Very sketchy appearance made us feel our vehicle was unsafe right outside our door.
